The Outpost 186
Visuals for Electronic Performer Jacob Johnson
My work as a Video Jockey revolves around creating material for the musician that I am working with and then presenting it in live settings. I have worked with DJs and Electronic performers from Berklee College of Music in venues such as the Outpost 186 and Middle East's Zuzu in Boston.
This is an example of some Video Jockey work at Middle East's Zuzu for Electronic Music performer Bloom (also known as Gareth Wong). Using After Effects I created visual content for his show, including an animation using his official logo. For the live performance I used Resolume.
Album Artwork, using a variety of different software. My process heavily depends on both generative and non-generative design.
The artwork featured here were done for musicians that were looking for an album cover. Some of the software for the creation of these include Adobe software and code-based frameworks such as Processing, p5.js and Max/MSP/Jitter.
