Live Streaming is a lot of fun, especially when I can use software like Resolume and TouchDesigner to really create something that will hopefully be interesting to the viewers on Instagram, Facebook, Twitch, etc.
This is my first test, which was live-streamed to Instagram which helped me learn a few things. I was using LoolaTV to be able to pair up my NDI Output with the web browser, and be able to send the video + audio straight into my Instagram without a bunch of extra steps.
One of the main things I learned after this test was that the initial resolution should already be 9:16 aspect ratio, otherwise Loola won’t be able to understand your output. However other than that, the live stream went well. Here is a 16:9 version of the output I was recording in real time, as I was streaming to Instagram.
